Mr. Gagan Jalan is Independent Director of the Company, He holds a degree in BBA with finance and post-graduation in PGDM in finance from IMT, Nagpur, with a strong foundation in financial management, accounting, and business principles. He has further honed his business acumen and leadership skills through the BBA program, equipping him with advanced knowledge in strategic management, marketing, and operations.
Mr. Gagan is proficient in analyzing market trends and identifying opportunities for growth in the steel trading sector. He has strong negotiation skills, enabling him to secure favourable terms with suppliers and customers, and a solid understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and cost management. He has the ability to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives. He has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, facilitating effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels. Mr. Gagan aims to leverage his education and experience to further excel in the steel trading industry. He is passionate about driving business growth and is eager to take on new challenges that will allow him to expand his skill set and contribute to the organization’s success.
Non Executive Chairman
A Mechanical Engineering graduate and seasoned professional with over 30 years of extensive experience in the integrated steel manufacturing sector and multiple leadership roles within the plant and industry, focusing on sustainable growth, innovation, and process optimization. Known for providing strategic direction and operational oversight, the individual brings a wealth of technical expertise combined with a deep understanding of the steel industry’s dynamics. Having transitioned from hands-on technical roles into strategic decision-making, the chairman has been pivotal in steering the company toward new technologies, better efficiency, and robust governance. Despite serving in a non-executive role, the individual plays an active advisory and governance function, ensuring that the company continues to align with industry best practices, regulatory compliance, and long-term objectives. He is primarily involved in the business development activities of the company and manages the distribution network of the company in the coastal, northern, and southern regions of Odisha and southern India operations. In finance, he has exposure in treasury, accounting, MS, forex risk management, taxation, IT, and all other related areas with exposure in India and overseas. He is responsible for transforming Scan Steels into a leading player in the steel industry. In marketing, he is exposed to brand management / channel and direct sales.

Mr. Kalyan Mishra, is the Chief Financial Officer of the Company, He is B. Com, (Hons), CA Inter and LLB. Mr. Mishra has rich experience of 30 years in Finance, Accounting and Taxation.
A seasoned and accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with 30 years of extensive experience in taxation, accounting, and GST matters. With a deep expertise in financial management, the CFO is responsible for overseeing the accounting and taxation functions of the entire group of companies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving strategic financial initiatives that contribute to the growth and success of the organization.
Throughout a distinguished career, the CFO has demonstrated proficiency in managing complex taxation strategies, streamlining accounting operations, optimizing financial reporting, and leading initiatives to ensure effective tax planning and regulatory compliance. Mr. Prabir Kumar Das, is the president and company secretary of the company. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretary of India with MBA in finance. He is also a law graduate from Utkal University, Odisha.
A highly experienced Company Secretary and President with 26 years of expertise across corporate governance, statutory compliance, project finance, legal affairs, and mergers & acquisitions. With a robust academic background in Company Secretarial practice, law, and business administration, the individual has been a key strategic leader in navigating complex regulatory landscapes and providing critical support to the board in ensuring transparency, compliance, and financial success.
Specialized in overseeing the company’s listing activities, liaising with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), and National Stock Exchange (NSE), and ensuring adherence to corporate governance standards. Additionally, has vast experience in handling mergers, demergers, legal matters, ROC filings, joint ventures, takeovers, and corporate restructuring.

Mr. Praveen Kumar Patro is an executive director (Projects) of the company with over 30 years of comprehensive experience in the steel manufacturing sector, specializing in managing large-scale projects and overseeing plant operations. With a strong foundation in electrical engineering, the individual has led and successfully delivered complex projects including Captive Power Plants (CPP), Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) units, rolling mills, induction furnaces with continuous casting (concast), and more. In addition to spearheading projects, the Executive Director currently oversees the entire plant operations, ensuring strategic alignment, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across all departments.
Having worked at the forefront of multiple critical infrastructure projects and plant expansions, the Executive Director has demonstrated exceptional leadership in integrating cutting-edge technologies, improving plant productivity, and optimizing energy usage.
